It is with great pleasure and pride that we can announce that our Genießerstube under the management of Maximilian Stock has been awarded a Michelin star in 2025!

Gault & Millau awarded the Genießerstube 3 toques and 16 out of a possible 20 points in the 2025 Restaurant Guide.

Cooking is an art that requires skill, passion, and experience to excel at it. Our head chef Maximilian Stock ticks all these boxes. The kitchen has been his home for many years, and he has created his very own signature style that he calls “Alpine Taste”. Maximilian was born and grew up in the Tuxertal. After stints all over Austria and the great wide world, he touched down here with us at the Alpenhof in winter 2018, where he now leads his kitchen team from one culinary success to another, with a steady hand and lots of skill.

The gourmet parlour

Small, fine and exclusive. The Genießerstube is a restaurant for and with pleasure. Relaxing, meeting friends, trying something new and simply taking time for a fine drop of wine and good food - enjoyment at the Alpenhof has many facets.  The Genießerstube offers space for a small number of visitors and is therefore a place for special occasions. 3-toque chef Maximilian Stock surprises guests with creative flavour compositions that tickle the palate. His main aim is to combine innovation and regional flavours without being home-style. In the kitchen, he tweaks, tinkers and gets to the heart of the matter. When selecting the products, quality and appreciation of nature and the producers take centre stage. The finest indulgence is guaranteed, from the starter to the dessert. The Genießerstube is a real insider tip for all guests in and around Hintertux.

  • Opening hours: Wednesday to Saturday from 6.30 pm to 8.00 pm (please note that the Genießerstube opening hours may differ from the hotel opening hours).
