The laid-back coexistence of culture and nature is something that families in particular will appreciate. On the themed hiking trails, young explorers will encounter Luis, the glacier flea, who is only too happy to present his adventure worlds in a way that is easy to understand for the little ones, covering the topics “Nature”, “Animals”, “Water”, “Gorges”, “Plants” and “Glaciers”. This way, the whole family can immerse itself in this Alpine setting and experience it with all the senses.
Balancing on a millipede, climbing in a spider’s web... several stations introduce visitors to the Animal Worlds to the fascinating interplay of the Alpine fauna. The animal quiz and the water games never fail to awaken the spirit of discovery of kids and grown-ups alike.
From the middle station of the Finkenberger Almbahn, the themed trail "Nature World” provides hikers with more information on many of these natural habitats. See, touch, understand is the motto here - in particular on the moor teaching trail with its special bog soil experiments.
How much water do humans need? How do thermal springs appear? Starting from the “floating water tap”, the Water World theme trail takes you on a tour through this life-giving natural element. A great hike for nature enthusiasts, with some stations requiring courage and a steady head, for instance the large waterfall swing or the water pump target shooting!

Together with glacier flea Luis, aspiring detectives can solve tricky puzzles during the Glacier Flea Safari, making their way towards the treasure at the end of the adventure course. The treasure map is available at the cash desks of the valley station in Hintertux. The Flea Park Sommerberg with attractions such as a play tower, go-kart circuit, climbing wall and giant slide is the ideal way to bring an exciting day in the untouched natural setting of the glacier to a close. A special highlight for hiking fans of all ages is the Ball Safari with glacier flea Luis, complete with two ball tracks and a huge ball run tower with loopings, a crane, and a climbing wall. Over the wave run, past the glockenspiel and through the tight crevasse: The adventure trail in the Sommerbergalm hiking resort doesn’t leave room for boredom. Further up in the Glacier World, the whole family will have fun during a tubing session or a snowball fight.
